Mentor, OH (May 14, 2018) – Young Leaders of United Way of Lake County is now accepting funding requests from agencies and programs that directly impact the lives of youth in Lake County. Applications are being accepted now through June 29, 2018 at 12 pm.
The mission of the Young Leaders is to positively impact the lives of children in Lake County through improved health and education. They work toward this, in part, via the support of 501(c)(3) and nonprofit organizations in Lake County with grants that promote a similar mission geared toward youth.
Parties interested in applying for funds must fill out a grant application form which can be found on United Way of Lake County’s website at www.uwlc.org/young-leaders-grant-awards-program. Questions should be directed to Jodi Matsko via email at jmatsko@uwlc.org or by phone at 440-639-1236.. Organizations and agencies selected to receive grants will be announced when funds are distributed later this summer.
Young Leaders of United Way of Lake County was established in 2014 by a core group of United Way volunteers to positively impact the lives of youth through the philanthropic efforts of giving, advocating and volunteering. This is third funding cycle.
The group raises donations throughout the year to support their grant funding program through membership fees, speaker engagements, and their annual Golf Outing fundraiser in September. Funds raised are also used to help advance the goal of engaging, empowering, mentoring and supporting the youth of our community in the achievement of their goals.
The group welcomes new members interested in volunteering their time to impact lives in the community. To learn more about Young Leaders of Lake County, call 440.639.1236 or email jmatsko@uwlc.org. Information can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/youngleadersofunitedwayoflakecounty.
